The Ultimate Holiday Dinner: 4 Recipes for an Unforgettable Meal

This year, make the holidays even more memorable by serving up the ultimate holiday meal! These four delicious and unforgettable dishes feature our new House Butter selections for a signature taste that will have your guests coming back for seconds (or thirds!). 

The Menu:

Appetizer: Garlic Shrimp with French Bread
Main: Reverse Sear Filet Mignon
Sides: Parmesan Crusted Potatoes and Sweet Potato Bites

Appetizer:  Garlic Shrimp with French Bread

This delectable recipe from @socialsami is seasoned with Bowtie Lemon Pepper Seasoning and the De Jonghe Butter from our Golden Steer Compound Butter Set for a delicious and low-effort appetizer bursting with flavor.

Here's what you'll need:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds of raw large shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon of Bowtie Seasoning
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons of De Jonghe Butter
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Sliced French Bread
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Parsley for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash and rinse the shrimp twice with cold water, and then drain.
  2. Toss the shrimp in Bowtie Seasoning to ensure even coverage.
  3. Add De Jonghe Butter to pan over medium heat.
  4. Once melted, add shrimp and sauté.
  5. Add white wine and continue to cook the shrimp until opaque.
  6. Squeeze juice from lemon as desired over shrimp and garnish with parsley.
  7. Serve the shrimp on toasted slices of French bread and get the party started!

Main Course:  Reverse Sear Filet Mignon

Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients: 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F.
  2. Generously coat the top and bottom of the filets with Sergio's Seasoning.
  3. Cook for 40 minutes and remove.
  4. Heat olive oil in pan over medium high heat.
  5. Add the filets to the pan when oil begins to smoke.
  6. Sear on each side for 2 - 3 minutes then remove from heat.
  7. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Top with a large slab of Prime Butter and serve with your delicious potato sides!

Side Dish:  Parmesan Crusted Potatoes

The potatoes in this deliciously savory side from @socialsami are basted and baked with our famous Maitre d’ Butter from the Golden Steer Compound Butter Set, and sure to make a lasting impression!

Here's what you'll need:

INGREDIENTS: 

  • Fingerling Potatoes
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 5 tablespoons of Maitre d’ Butter
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Parsley or Rosemary for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Rinse, dry, and cut the potatoes in half.
  2. Preheat oven to 415°F.
  3. Melt 4 tablespoons of Maitre d’ Butter and combine in bowl with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into baking dish and mix in 3/4 of the cheese until a paste is formed.
  5. Score the potatoes and place in baking dish face down.
  6. Melt the rest of the butter and baste the tops of the potatoes. Top with the rest of the cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley or rosemary and serve with your filets.

Side Dish:  Sweet Potato Bites


Sweet Potato Bites by @socialsami


These delectable Sweet Potato Bites from @socialsami are coated with our new festively-flavored Sweet Holiday Butter to make an unforgettable holiday side.

Here’s what you’ll need:

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 1 extra large sweet potato, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Holiday Butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 bag large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup candied pecan halves

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Cut the sweet potato into thick slices, at least ¼”, and place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Melt the Sweet Holiday butter and pour it over the potato slices. Pour in the maple syrup and toss until coated.
  4. Arrange the slices on a large baking sheet and space evenly. 
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove from oven and top each slice with a large marshmallow.
  7. Broil in oven until marshmallows are crispy on the edges and melty.
  8. Remove from oven and top with candied pecans.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
