Sliders are an easy and delicious way to get your burger fix, and in this recipe from @millennialnonna, you can put an unforgettable Vegas spin on your next outdoor gathering. This recipe will make 2 dozen savory sliders bursting with French Onion flavor, which are sure to have your guests coming back for more!

Here’s what you’ll need to make a couple of these tasty slider trays for the party:

Ingredients:

Sliders:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons French Cuffs Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Sergio’s Seasoning
  • 2 packs of 12 slider rolls
  • American cheese
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Melted butter and sesame seeds for topping

Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1-2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two 13x9 baking dishes with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. You can also use foil pans.
  2. Mix together the mayo, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl.
  3. Over medium heat, add olive oil and onions. Cook down until lightly golden, stirring frequently. Add the ground beef and cook through. Drain any excess fat/oil from the skillet.
  4. Add in the French Cuffs Seasoning, Sergio’s Seasoning, and combine. Off heat, add in burger sauce and mix together. You can also add your burger sauce of choice instead.
  5. Cut the rolls in half, and put the bottoms into the pans. Add the meat evenly across, then top with enough cheese and pickles to your liking. Gently press the slider tops back on, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Cover the pan tightly with foil. Put the pans on baking sheets to avoid burning the bottoms. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Remove pan from oven and keep covered for 5 to 10 minutes before opening. This gives it a soft, burger joint-style finish.
  7. Enjoy!
